Frequently asked questions
Why would a dealer pay for a motorhome nobody in Switzerland wants?
Because a vehicle's value depends on the market it is sold in. In Switzerland an older or defective motorhome runs into repair costs and MFK requirements that make it unattractive. In many export countries labour is cheaper, demand for affordable motorhomes is strong, and a vehicle that counts as a restoration project here is a perfectly usable second-hand camper there. That difference is what makes the purchase worthwhile for us – and the sale effortless for you.
What must I be careful about before handing the vehicle over?
Never hand over a vehicle before the deregistration is arranged. In Switzerland the registered keeper stays responsible until the vehicle is either deregistered or registered to a new keeper, which is exactly why we take over the deregistration with the road traffic office. Have the vehicle registration document, number plates, keys and any service records ready; we go through everything else with you before collection.
How do you arrive at an offer, and what do you need from me?
Tell us what you have – make, model, body type, mileage, date of first registration, fuel, and your asking price if you have one – and send a few photos through the form or by WhatsApp. Pictures of all four sides, the living area, the dashboard showing the mileage, and anything that is damaged or no longer works are the most useful. We put together a non-binding offer on that basis, so the more complete your details, the closer the figure will be to what we can actually pay after seeing the vehicle.
